What's happening?

After lightning-fast hackathons in Utah, we're throwing open the doors to builders everywhere. Your mission: ship something that earns real revenue between May 3 and May 31.

Two competitive tracks

• Launch from $0 — start a brand-new idea and make your first dollar by May 31.
• Grow Existing — bring a product that's already making money and achieve the highest % revenue lift in a month.

FAQ

Why are you doing this?

Because Jacob and I want to make money with our side projects. And we want to help others do the same!

What kind of projects are eligible?

Any project aiming to generate revenue! Software, SaaS, info products, physical goods, paid communities, services – if you can build it and sell it in May, it counts.

Can you form teams?

Yes, teams are encouraged, but solo builders are also welcome!

Can you start with an existing project?

Yes, you can use an existing project for either track. For 'Grow Existing', it's required. For 'Launch from $0', you can pivot an existing project if it hasn't generated revenue yet.

How do the two tracks work?

Jacob Wright will explain the details during the kick-off and weekly sessions. Essentially, 'Launch from $0' is for new ideas aiming for their first revenue, and 'Grow Existing' is for established products aiming for the highest percentage revenue increase.

How is revenue verified?

Details will be provided during kick-off, but expect to show proof via screenshots (Stripe, bank statements, etc.) during weekly check-ins and final judging.

What if I join late?

You can join anytime before the final Demo Day, but you'll have less time to build and earn revenue compared to others.

How do I get the month of Bolt.New Pro?

DM Max Forsey on the JustBuild Slack to receive a code for one free month of the Bolt.New Pro base plan. You will need to enter a credit card on Bolt.New to redeem the code, but you can cancel immediately after signing up to avoid any recurring charges.
